Surrealistic Theme

For my surreal photomontage I would like to do a self-portrait. In order to meet the number of images i need in this project I’m going to do the self-portrait with a timer, leaning on a chair in a room in my house. I also need a picture of a landscape that I can dull down to add a creepy affect to it. I don’t know what other elements ill add. Maybe I won’t. Idk.

Get better pictures with your iphone: use an APP!

The app I used for this article is Photo Editor Pro for android.  The app works pretty well for editing skills but isn’t all free. You have to pay for extra frames and filters. When it comes to using an app for photography nobody wants to pay for the features when downloading a free app.       The pros of this app. The filters are amazing! For the first picture I used, I used the filter “Dean”. It really makes the picture pop. On my second pictures I used more off what the app has to offer. I used the “Boardwalk” filter to give the picture a dramatic look. Then I added a frame. The frame was called “Negative”. You cannot tell in the collage I made but it was supposed to look like a photo reel.  Then using the advanced tab, I color fixed it really giving detail to his face.         The app has filters, stickers, frames, crop, focus, orientation, brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, sharpness, splash, draw, text, red eye, teeth whiten and blemish. The only negative about this app is paying for the extras. Other than that I cannot complain. The app really makes pictures pop.  I would definitely suggest this app to people looking to edit pics.

David Hockney Inspired Collage

My David Hockney inspired collage. My model In picture one is Joe Flippin'. I started by taking pictures of difference sections of his face. Making this college was just cutting and pasting together different pictures of Joe's face. Same with the Snapple machine.

My reflection picture captures the shadow from a few trees in frozen ice water. This picture makes me realize how beautiful nature really is.

Portrait Series
This picture of my two cousins posing with my huge teddy bear. This describes how difficult it is to sit two 6 month old children in one spot and take their picture. It shows how one baby can it and be happy and another could care less. The personality of baby's are so interesting. Since I took these pictures at night I had to add more blue to the picture to make the teddy bear seem less yellow. I also darkened the edges so your eye looks more at the baby's than the background.
